Only a few more days until Christmas....
Christmas cards?
I have until the Epiphany to get them out don't I?
Christmas shopping?
Why would I want to commercialize Christmas anymore than it already has been?
Yesterday I bought my first pair of man tights. They're so nice and warm. I feel so much more powerful and potent now that I can feel my body below my waist. Who would have thought that giths would make me feel so much more masculine.

And we're back

안녕 여러분 or hello everybody.
I offer no excuses for my two month lacuna.
I also keep a blog for my high school. I'm so sleepy I almost posted this on thath blog. That may have been awkward.
I should at least have come back with some pictures, but I fear that I've erased (!) them all.
Here there are some superficial vestiges of the commercial Christmas we all know and love, but that delicious mix of secular nostalgia and sacred fervor that only Americans know how to orchestrate (beautifully orchestrated in Sufjan Steven's Christmas album, especially "The Elf Dance"; stream it and play the game here: http://xmas.asthmatickitty.com/) is absent. I have always assumed the universality of feeling. Whenever my Brazilian friends told me I could not feel saudade, when a Korean told me I could never truly know what han was, the times I was told I was just too white to understand..... I always denied it. People are many but man is one, right? I'm afraid not. Not everyone can dance and not everyone can feel the Christmas spirit.
I received some presents from my parents today. Being that it's routinely 30 degrees F here now, I almost opened them hoping for some thermal underwear. However, I retain some vestige of my own Christmas traditions and I refuse to do any present-opening until Christmas Day.
That's my good friend Andy eating (?) the remains of a delicious fish. Known as 우럭u-reok in Korean, this fish is so little consumed in English-speaking countries that I found no western name for it. Only its scientific name, sebastes hubbsi, and that it's a kind of rockfish.
It was delicious!

Friends, even when I don't write I miss you all terribly. I heard a rather fine-looking bass player I used to play with recently had a sing-a-along. I really wish I coulda been there;(
