Hoy hice las páginas matutinas. Paso a paso. No esforzé como me debiera en la oficina. Llegué muy tarde. Manyana será mejor.

Beginning

A humble beginning to reinventing myself. Today I did my morning pages in the afternoon. It's absurd to me that ai actually have to make an appointment to see myself, but it was difficult once I sat down to keep the time focused on me and not some other mundane task that needed to be done. Tomorrow will be a better day.

My second day in DC. I spent the day almost obsessively watching movies on TV - some film about an Alan Dershowitz case and Die Hard. Even as I write this I'm watching some silly Kirk Douglas flick.

I went to a wonderful party in Petsville. Dancing, food, drink. I had this vodka that tasted like ice tea (típico de la región) filtered through a block of ice, or ice luging.

I feel like every conversation I have is awkward and forced. I must be tired.

Just played with a friend. It felt so good to touch those keys. My ear has DEFINITELY improved since taking singing lessons in Korea - especially in an unwritten oral tradition!

I talked to an old friend today. It was a little painful again.

Tomorrow morning I have to cover a Petrobras event. I don't really know why they're sending me. It'll be fun anyway, but I never seem to break news faster than the local news agency.

It's all a learning experience.

Just like when sources don't call me back.....

Today I ate some pernil for the first time..... I think it was pork.

Now it's time to clean my room, go the gym, and maybe listen to a little of what I taped about real investment funds before settling down to a good night's rest.

I spoke to one of my best friends in the world today. Things are going great for him: he's starting his own business, successfully trying out a new diet (not losing weight, just gaining energy), and as usual excelling at his art.

Me, I'm living in one of the most awesome countries in the world, going out more than I ever have frankly, learning new languages, and interning at a prestigious news service.

I felt awful after are conversation. I hope it's just lack of sleep.
